Following on from Glenn Main’s departure earlier today, goalkeeper Will Counsell has also moved on from the club due to relocating.
The 23-year-old shot stopper has moved to Wolverhampton and signed off with the club by keeping a clean sheet in Wednesday night’s 3-0 home win over Wick Academy.
Director of Football, Graeme Macleod, commented: “Will could not have finished on a better note with us by keeping our first clean sheet of the season in midweek, when he made a number of great saves to contribute towards our win. He also had a solid showing in last Saturday’s draw at Keith.
“We would all like to thank Will for all his efforts in his time with the club and to wish him all the best for his future. He will be welcome back to Station Park to support his former teammates anytime he is back in the area.”
Will joined the club initially on a month’s loan from Brora Rangers in November 2019. The deal was made permanent in January 2020 and all in, he made 14 appearances for the club.
