NAIRN County Football Club has been successful with two funding applications towards our project to facilitate access and pitchside barrier viewing for disabled and less mobile supporters at Station Park. This will also link into the new spectator enclosure which has disabled access. £5,000 has been received from the Highland Council (Nairn Ward Discretionary Budget) with £1500 awarded by the Co-op Local Fund. Club chairman, Peter Mackintosh said: "We are very grateful to Highland Council (Nairn Ward Discretionary Budget) and the Co-op Local Fund for their support in granting these awards. This now allows us to forge ahead with both phases of the project." "Thanks are also due to all the supporters who took the time to vote for the project which qualified as part of the Co-op's Local Fund for the Nairn Area along with two other projects. We received the second award of £1,500." "I would also like to thank Louise Clark for all of her hard work in putting together the applications for these two crucial funding awards." Progress on the project can be followed on the club's official Facebook page. Graeme Macleod
