We are delighted to announce that Sam Gordon has signed a new, long-term contract with the club to 2025.

The 22-year-old wide man has been a standout performer for us since breaking into the team in October and has made 16 appearances so far this season, scoring twice.

Sam made his debut on July 28th against Lossiemouth and his first start in the home game clash with Inverurie Locos on October 2nd.

His two goals have come away from home at Lossiemouth in November and in the 5-4 win at Deveronvale last month.

Director of Football, Graeme Macleod said:

“We all have been delighted by Sam’s progress so far this season. He has forced his way into the team and has been able to keep himself there through his performances in training and in games.

“I think it is fair to say Sam has quickly become something of a favourite with the supporters. He is a Nairn boy – which understandably appeals to the fans – and they can see he gives his all for his home town club every time he is selected by the manager.

“Sam has been with us since 2013 and I remember seeing him play in the Under-17s and have followed his progress closely through the Under-20s, which then became the Reserves last season, with a season in the North Caledonian League giving Sam the launchpad to push on into the First Team.

“There is a lot more maturity about Sam now and you can see him really knuckle down at training. His work away from the club has also paid off and served him well.

“Sam gets fantastic support from his family and I am delighted for them all that Sam has been rewarded with this new deal.

“We know what improvements Sam needs to make to continue to lift his game and the coaching staff will be focussing on that with Sam over the coming seasons.

“The challenge now for him is to stay in the team as competition for places gets tougher with players coming back from injuries and this new deal gives Sam the opportunity to do that.”
