We are delighted to have extended the loan deals of George Robesten and Andrew Macleod from Ross County until the end of the season.

Both players joined us at the start of the season on a temporary basis until the January transfer window and we have now come to an agreement with their parent club to allow them to continue their development with us until the summer.

18-year-old winger George debuted from the bench for us on the opening day of the season against Brora Rangers while midfielder Andrew, also 18, made his first appearance for us the following week away at Banks O’Dee.

Manager Steven Mackay said: “It is great news for us to start the year off by securing George and Andrew until the end of the season.

“Both players have added great value to our squad this season and you have seen that in their levels of performance and their contributions to our recent run of form.

“We are delighted that Ross County have agreed to allow both players to remain with us to continue their development. Both have great attitudes with maturity beyond their years and if they continue on the trajectory they are going then they will both give themselves an excellent chance to make it in full time football.”

George has made 17 starts and four sub appearances for us so far this season, scoring three times, opening his account at home to Wick Academy before netting against Forres Mechanics at Station Park and adding another strike in our return match at Harmsworth Park.

Andrew is our top scorer so far this season with 10 goals from 18 starts and one sub appearance. He got off the mark for us in the Highland League (Morganti) Cup tie away at Keith, sparking a run of seven goals in the next six games, scoring in each of them. He is currently on a three-game scoring streak having scored an injury time winner from the penalty spot against Forres Mechanics and another late, late strike in the 3-3 draw with Banks O’Dee on his return from two games out injured before rounding off Saturday’s 3-0 win at Rothes to take him into double figures for the season.
