Everyone at the club was saddened to learn of the passing of former groundsman Robbie Stuart on Saturday morning following a short battle with cancer. Robbie gave up many, many hours of his free time to help at the park over several years and worked tirelessly to have the playing surface and surrounding grounds in tip top shape for match days. Robbie was also a regular on the terraces cheering on the team and was a popular figure at away grounds the length and breadth of the Highland League, where his warm personality and sharp wit endeared him to opposition committee members and supporters. Robbie’s funeral takes place at the United Reformed Church in Nairn on Friday at 11.00 am. He will be sorely missed by all at Nairn County. Graeme Macleod
