All at Nairn County FC are saddened to hear of the passing of our former Chairman Danny MacKintosh.
Danny had a long and proud history with Nairn County and was central to the steering group which was created to run the club which was in a critical financial condition in the late 90s.
Under his guidance and that of several other key players in the group such as Stan Brown, Steven Bain and Bill Young, the club survived to allow the later success which followed.
When Stan Brown later stood down as Chair due to business pressures, Danny again stepped up for the club and took over as Chairman, steadying the ship and ensuring that the foundations of stability continued to be put in place going forward.
His work to ensure that the club survived for all of Nairn will not be forgotten and is appreciated by all of us.
The thoughts of all at Station Park are with the MacKintosh family at this difficult time.
