NAIRN County are appealing to supporters and volunteers to step forward and help with the upkeep of Station Park over the close season. The club is asking anyone who can contribute any time at all to report to the main stand at Station Park this Saturday morning at 9.30 am. Stewart McInnes, from the club's Management Committee, will head the maintenance squad and this morning, he met with outgoing Chairman, Peter Mackintosh and Peter A. Mackintosh from Narden to discuss the jobs that need done. Stewart said: "People might not realise it but the Mackintosh family and Les Fridge put in loads of time every week building up and maintaining Station Park as the best facility in the league. It is now our job to maintain the standards that have been set." "I realise that is not going to be easy but we have a plan in place of what needs done and at what points throughout the year. We are going to need as many people as possible to come forward to execute that plan though. No skills are necessary – just loads of enthusiasm and a love of Nairn County are all you need." Volunteers must be 18 years old or over and are asked to be at the home end of the main stand at 9.30 am where Stewart will delegate jobs from the list. Everyone attends at their own risk. If you are unable to make it but still keen to help, please email info@nairncountyfc.co.uk. There will be further updates on future maintenance sessions. Graeme Macleod
