NAIRN County are delighted to confirm that the new toilet block at Station Park is set to be in place by the end of October. The supporters’ Spend-a-Penny campaign has been a roaring success and contributed greatly toward raising the required capital to allow the club to press on with its plans for the installation of the £39,000 structure. Furthermore, the club has also received the maximum grant it applied for from the Scottish Football Partnership. Chairman Donald Matheson said: “After a lot of hard work with to-ing and fro-ing and organising logistics, we are delighted to be in a position to confirm the installation of the new toilet block." “We were delighted to receive grant funding from the Scottish Football Partnership and that allowed us to press on with arranging delivery of the new structure. It is now due to arrive in Nairn in mid-October and provided we are able to adhere to the proposed schedule, the new toilets will be up and running by the end of that month." “All of this would not have been possible without the backing of the supporters and the local community, who once again showed how much the football club means to them and the town by throwing their weight behind this venture. The fundraising effort has once again been inspirational from the Three Peaks Challenge and Coffee Morning to the recent Noel Gallagher Tribute Gig and everything in between." “The success of this capital project whets the appetite for more and we are continually looking at ways we can improve the surroundings at Station Park. I truly believe we have among the best facilities in the Highland League and none of that would be possible without the efforts of the supporters and the backing of the community. For that, I am truly grateful.” Graeme Macleod
