Nairn County Football Club has finalised the process for naming the new spectators' standing enclosure at Station Park. Ian Finlayson – a prominent fans fundraiser and administrator of the former "We Believe" Facebook group, which facilitated the supporters' fundraising efforts – has agreed to oversee the process on behalf of the club. Supporters are now invited to put forward their suggestions for the name of the new structure, which was used for the first time during yesterday's win over Turriff United. These can be submitted by emailing info@nairncountyfc.co.uk or speaking to Ian Finlayson in person. Monday March 21st is the deadline for suggestions and these will then be collated on to a voting paper, which will be available at various outlets throughout the town and at home games. An online voting process will also be put in place to ensure that everyone who contributed to the project can have a say. The winning name will be unveiled in the summer. Should the number of suggested names be excessive, a public meeting will be called by the club and chaired by Mr Finlayson to whittle down the final list of names to appear on the voting paper. The club retains the right to veto any suggestions put forward and the vote-winning name to protect against any profanities succeeding. This process has been agreed by all stakeholders involved in the project, including signatories of the Supporters Ground Improvements Fund. Please note that making a suggestion does not count as a vote in the final poll. If you make a suggestion which is selected for the voting paper, you will still have to vote if you want to contribute to the poll. Graeme Macleod
