Andrew Greig has signed a new contract with the club in a major boost to our plans for forthcoming seasons.
The 30-year-old winger has put pen to paper on a deal until the summer of 2026.
Andrew will not play this season due to a knee injury sustained at Brechin City last March but will undergo surgery next week and is expected to be fit to commence pre-season training come the summer.
Manager Steven Mackay said: “I am delighted that Andrew has agreed a new contract with us.
“It was a big blow to lose him when we did and we have missed him this season. He brings many different qualities to the team and on his day, he is among the top players in the Highland League.
“We all wish him well with his operation next week and we look forward to seeing him firing on all cylinders again once he has made a full recovery.”
Andrew joined us from Formartine United two years ago and has made 43 appearances for the club, scoring seven times.
He started his career at Inverness CT before he moved into the Highland League with Brora Rangers in July 2012, winning two league championships, the Highland League (Morganti) Cup, three North of Scotland Cups and the Highland League Player of the Year prize during his time at Dudgeon Park.
After moving to Formartine United in November 2017, he won the Highland League Cup again and Aberdeenshire Shield during his time with the Pitmedden club before joining us in January 2022.
