HOSTS Nairn County will be looking for a reaction to Saturday’s disappointing showing at Fraserburgh as they succumbed to a heavy defeat at Bellslea despite taking an early lead. Once the Broch went in front shortly before half-time, the County roof caved in with another two goals added in a short space of time before the break the end the home side in 4-1 up at the interval just when the match appeared to be heading for a half-time stalemate at one goal apiece. The home side will be looking to bounce back from that against a Rothes side who beat them twice last season and ended a recent three-match run of defeats by seeing off Lossiemouth at MacKessack Park on Saturday. With vital players now returning from injury, manager Steven Macdonald will be looking for his team to kick on up the table as they look to break into the top half of the standings this time around. Ryan MacDonald sustained a knock last midweek against Forres Mechanics and that kept him out of Saturday’s trip to Fraserburgh but he is fit enough to return to the team for this one. Callum Ednie misses out again, this time through work commitments and that is the same reason Jack Maclean is also unavailable. One to watch: Scott Davidson. The centre forward is working his way back from injury and will be itching to get going in this one. He was top scorer for Rothes last season and his goals will be crucial again for the Speysiders as they look to climb up the league table this time around. He possess pace to burn to match up with his powerful physical attributes to ensure he will be a handful for the home defence.
