YOUNGSTERS Matty Macleod and Craig Munro have joined Inverness City on loan for the rest of the season. The duo go straight into the Lister Park club’s squad for their home match with Colony Park on Saturday. Forward player Macleod (19) has made three top team appearances from the bench in Highland League matches and although 20-year-old Munro is still awaiting his competitive debut for the club, he found the net in a pre-season win over Nairn St Ninian. County boss Ronnie Sharp said: “This is a good opportunity for both players to go and play at a high level." “Inverness City are in the Super League of the North Region Juniors, which is essentially one level below the Highland League. There are a lot of good teams in that league who would be able to hold their own in the Highland League, so it will be a good test for them both." “They are at the age where they need to bridge the gap from the under-20s squad to the first team and the best way to do that is to go out and play regular football at a good level. City still have half of their league fixtures for the season still to play and cup commitments too, so there are plenty of games coming up for them to have a chance to play.” Graeme Macleod
