Jamie Mackay will leave the club when his contract expires this summer. The attacking wide players is unable to commit for the new season because of increased work commitments in his job as a delivery driver with Parcelinq. The 29-year-old attacker – known as "Novo" – re-joined the club last season following a two-year stint at Station Park between 2011 and 2013. Chairman Donald Matheson said: "Novo was one of the players who stepped up to the plate when we were struggling to put a team together last summer and we will always be grateful to him for that." "He came through and met with Ronnie Sharp and Graeme Macleod at the weekend and explained that he was not going to be able to continue with the club next season. His work commitments mean that he would now struggle to make it to training on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and for games on a Saturday." "He is currently out injured for another 10 weeks or so with a knee injury and we have said to him that he is welcome to come through and use training facilities with us when he is working back towards full fitness." "I would like to wish Novo all the best for the future and thank him for his contribution to the club throughout last season." Mackay added: "It is unfortunate but I would not want to continue playing if I was not going to be able to train. I would not be able to do myself justice on a Saturday if I had not been training through the week and it would also be unfair on the other players in the squad if I was playing or on the bench ahead of someone who had trained and did not make the squad." "I would like to thank Ronnie Sharp for giving me another season in the Highland League. I had dropped down to amateur football but he gave me another chance at this level and I am grateful to him for that." "I would like to wish the team and everyone else at the club all the very best for the new season and in the future." Mackay played 21 times for the club last season with 11 of those appearances coming from the start and 10 from the bench. He last appeared in County colours in the home match against Turriff United on March 4th. Graeme Macleod
