Nairn County FC can confirm that the contract of Marc MacDonald has been cancelled by mutual consent. MacDonald returned to Station Park earlier in the season but work commitments have made it difficult for him to attend training and matches. Ronnie Sharp said: "It is unfortunate that it has not worked out for Marc because he is a good guy and a good player." "He works in the Leisure Centre at the Golf View Hotel and is often there until 10 pm on Tuesday and Thursday nights when we train but it is unfair to include him in the squad ahead of other players if he has not been able to attend training. "Marc understands that and he is more than welcome to train with us if he needs training facilities in the future." "He feels it will be easier for him to pick up games in the juniors and the Welfare League which is understandable and we would never stand in anyone's way to prevent them from playing football. I wish him well." Also leaving the club this week is under-20s player Jack Dickson, who has been released due to being posted to Perth with work. Both players leave Nairn County with the best wishes of everyone at the club. Graeme Macleod
