A JORDAN Macrae hat trick handed Nairn County's under-20s a superb 3-1 win away at Lossiemouth this evening. The Coasters had beaten Nairn in a pre-season friendly, so manager Ali Munro was delighted to turn the tables when it really mattered to see his undefeated side earn themselves another three points. He said: "That Lossiemouth team beat Alness United 3-1 in their last game and we drew with Alness, so we have to be pleased to come here and win in our second game in less than a week. "The wind spoiled the game a little bit but the boys were excellent and we caused them a lot of bother with our passing. "It was also great to have Jack Dickson back in our squad. He was on the bench for us tonight and he has missed a lot of football but he is ex-Ross County and he is going to be a great asset for us." On a windy evening at Grant Park, the visitors took the lead through Macrae's effort but it was short-lived as Lossiemouth struck back to send the teams in level at the interval. Lossiemouth would have fancied their chances of going on from there to claim the spoils playing with the wind at their backs in the second half but Nairn had other ideas and Macrae re-established the visitors' lead when he sent a cross sailing over the goalkeeper's head and into the net. Macrae was then upended in the penalty area and dusted himself down to take the spot kick himself to make sure of all three points for County. The team host Forres Mechanics in their next match, which is at home at the Academy Playing Fields next Monday at 8.00 pm.
