We have secured our second new signing of the close season with the arrival of Grant Hogg. Grant is a 17-year-old from Nairn who joins us having been with Inverness CT for the last seven seasons and has agreed a three-year contract to 2024. Manager Ronnie Sharp said: "We are delighted to get Grant on board. He will turn 18 tomorrow, so he is still a young player making his way in the game. But he has had a good grounding having come through at Inverness CT for a number of years. "He is predominantly a defensive player and can cover a number of positions for us across the back line or in a defensive midfield role if we require. "He was really keen to join us and get the deal done and we see him being a quality addition to the squad. "It may take him a wee while to settle in but we have no doubts he has what it takes to be a success in the Highland League. As much as he is a young player and one who will improve over the coming seasons, we are bringing him in for the here and now and we are looking for him to push his way into the starting team." Director of Football Graeme Macleod added: "Grant fits the profile of the player the management team is looking for and was eager to join us and get started with his Nairn County career. "We have seen him play against us in friendly matches and received several good reports when we have had him watched. "He is from just around the corner in Queenspark and we are always delighted to give local players the platform to progress and do well provided they are good enough and have the correct attitude and mentality. "We look forward to seeing what Grant can do at his home town club." Grant joined Inverness CT as an 11-year-old and progressed through the ranks of their various age group teams. He joins Conor Gethins as our new signings ahead of the start of the 2021/22 Highland League season on July 24th. Image by Cutter Photography.
