Nairn County last night confirmed a deal that sees Stuart Finnie named the club's new under-20s coach. The 31-year-old takes over the position made vacant by Ronnie Sharp's appointment as the club's first team manager. He will work alongside under-20s manager Ally Munro and will begin working with the squad following Monday's North of Scotland League opener against Forres Mechanics. Finnie returns to Station Park following a lengthy spell at Nairn St Ninian. He came through the County youth setup before playing for Strathspey Thistle, Parkvale, Formartine United and Cruden Bay followed by a 10-year spell at the Showfield that saw him captain the club to the Elginshire Cup and promotion in 2011 under the management of Sharp. He spent the last two years of his decade at Saints working as assistant manager, standing in for boss Mike Hendry when St Ninian hosted County last summer, pushing Nairn all the way in 4-3 win for the visitors. He departed Saints at the end of last season. Graeme Macleod
