Goalkeeper Dylan Maclean has signed a new two-year contract with us, keeping him at Nairn County until the summer of 2026 and taking him into his Testimonial year.
The 28-year-old shot stopper has spent the past eight seasons as our first choice between the posts, having spent a year as understudy prior to that when he made his debut from the bench at home against Brora Rangers on September 9th 2015.
He made his full debut in the same fixture on the opening day of the following season and has now made 186 appearances for the club.
Manager Ross Tokely was pleased to have secured the services of the reigning Supporters’ Player of the Year. He said: “Dylan has been a regular part of the team for a number of years now and played in all but two of our games last season.
“Having played in front of him for the past season-and-a-half, I know how dependable Dylan is. He is capable of making some great saves throughout the season and is clearly a popular player with the supporters.
“I am delighted with the goalkeepers we have at the club and it is a clean slate when we come back after our summer break, so Dylan and the others will have the chance in training to show they can start the season as the club’s number one.”
Dylan has made 186 appearances so far for Nairn County and kept 40 clean sheets. He is a three-time Supporters’ Player of the Year and earned the first winners’ medal of his career when we lifted the North of Scotland Cup last season, with Dylan saving the decisive penalty in the semi-final shootout win over Inverness CT.
