THE PREPARATIONS for the 2015/16 season have already begun as the club has secured the services of five key first team players on new contracts, writes Graeme Macleod. Goalkeeper Calum Antell (22) has signed a new two-year contract with midfielder Bradley Halsman (also 22) agreeing a one-year deal. John Cameron has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract as the 26-year-old attacker is rewarded for his impressive end to the season while versatile 29-year-old Glenn Main has extended his existing deal by a further two years. Completing the quintet is wide man Adam Naismith, who has signed a three-year extension to his current contract. Manager Les Fridge said: “Calum was the Supporters Player of the Year, which speaks for itself. It shows the impact he has had and how well he has done since he has come in to the club. He has gone from strength to strength. “Bradley started off the season well but had a bit in the middle where he lost his place in the team but he has come back into it at the tail end of the season and is a good, steady player. He has done well in games this season where we have been missing the likes of Easter (Gregg Main) and Toshy (Wayne Mackintosh). “John Cameron got back to working hard at the end of the season and as I have always said, if you work hard you will get an opportunity and when he got his, he started banging in goals for us and ended the season in really good form. Fridge added: “It has been a very steady season for Glenn. He is a very versatile player and I know that I can play him anywhere and he will go in and give it his all. He thoroughly deserved to win the Players Player of the Year award and has probably been our most consistent player this season along with Adam. You can always rely on these players to give their all in every game and Adam is another one who is versatile and can occupy a number of different positions, as he did thorough the season and consistently did well. “Overall, we are delighted that these players have agreed new deals with the club and it comes off the back of Michael Morrison, Sean Webb and Paul Macleod pledging their futures to us earlier in the season.” Graeme Macleod
