This is my first financial report since taking over the reins at Nairn County a year last July and hopefully it makes good reading for our shareholders. I will discuss the accounts in due course but first I have a more personal insight to what goes on at NCFC. It should be noted that last year was a very dramatic event for all of us including our supporters where we had to carry out a very intense restructure of the club in trying circumstances to ensure its survival. Briefly as you are aware due to the sudden withdrawal of the main sponsor we were forced to release around 13 players in the closed season, our manager and Chairman but thanks to our surviving Directors and committee members we embarked on a journey, rather tortuous at first with lots of sleepless nights. Once we got a handle on things we started to see the light. First we had to appoint some new Directors and committee members so we could get to grips with the situation. The main problem for us was to get a replacement manager and after a few interviews we asked Ronnie Sharp if he was interested and start the rebuild of yours and our team. Ronnie with the support of the new management team has surpassed even our wildest dreams through our first season and on into our second where we were undefeated through the month of August 2017. From the previous sponsors we inherited a fantastic playing facility in good heart and have a team of generally local based players full of promise and youthful energy. I cannot praise Ronnie and his team for the continuous hard work and dedication they put into our wee club also I cannot thank the players enough for committing to the vision that Ronnie has from the under-15s through to the 1st team. Speaking of the 1st team, if it wasn't for our players accepting our restructuring we would not be in the position we are at now. Playing competitive football and giving some top teams an eye opening approach to games. Our supporters whether it be our local businesses supporting the club through financial means such as advertising, match sponsorship and donations or the punters who take the time to come to Station Park or away games I am humbled by you. You are all the life blood of Nairn County and please do not forget that as I certainly won't. We nearly faced financial abyss before the start of last season but now as you will see in the accounts we are in a much better position. The accompanying accounts will show exceptional income sources which will not be a feature going forward but we have now installed a sustainable financial regime that gives us hope that we as a club will be able to pursue the ambition that its supporters deserve. Yours truly,   Donald L. Matheson Chairman Nairn County Football Club Limited
