THERE has been a couple of backroom staff changes with assistant manager, Andy Naismith and youth coach, Ally Munro both standing down from their posts. Club Chairman Donald Matheson said: "I would like to thank both Ally and Andy for all of the work they have done for Nairn County during their time with us." "Andy has recently changed jobs and intimated to me that because of this, he will be unable to commit to continuing with us at the club. This is unfortunate but I appreciate the situation he finds himself in and wish him well for the future." "Andy did a tremendous job for us during the summer taking over the reins of managing the club at very short notice with very little help and support. I cannot thank him enough for that as it eased the burden we were all feeling in our pursuit of a permanent new manager." He added: "Ally Munro has been a youth coach with us for five years and I have to take my hat off to him – not only has he managed to successfully manage our under-20s but he has also taken the under-15s as well. How he managed it, I do not know." "He feels that now is the appropriate time to step away from the club. His words to me were that he stepped out of the police force to spend more time at home with family but now he is even busier than ever." "Ally also helped to see us through a difficult summer period and has recently been working alongside Stuart Finnie and he was delighted when he learned of our intentions to replace him with Stuart as our new under-20s Head Coach." "Ally has also offered to help out with the under-15s on match days to help smooth the transition and we extremely grateful to him for that." "Our new Head of Youth Development, Stewart McInnes is actively seeking a new coach for the under-15s while Stuart Finnie has our permission to name a new under-20s assistant coach as and when he finds the correct candidate. We hope to have positive news on both fronts shortly." Graeme Macleod
