The major fund raiser for the Club is our Annual Gala Dinner. Once again this was held in the superb Newton Hotel where the surroundings, quality of food and especially the excellent service from the staff helped to make it a brilliant night out. Ian Thain (a Nairn man) was the Host and main compere for the evening and in spite of a dodgy throat carried out his duties in his usual inimitable and humorous style. The two speakers – Gary Marshall and Steve Kindon are two of the best and after their respective presentations it is easily seen why the have that accolade. The Auction, which offered some of the highest quality items (see NEWS article here), was conducted once again by the highly professional Ian Tolmie. In all the evening proved to be a great success with approximately £24,000 raised. The event takes much work and planning months in advance a big 'Thank You' goes to all concerned. Also another big 'Thank You' goes to all who supported the Dinner, which at the end of the day is critical in the support and the financial well being of Nairn County FC. Robert Manson
