STRIKER Gary Kerr marked his first start for Nairn County with the opening goal in Saturday's 3-0 at Rothes.
Kerr has had to be patient awaiting his chance but he certainly made a positive impression as he excelled in the absence of Stuart Leslie and John Cameron.
The centre forward headed Archie Macphee's precise cross from the right into the top corner on 15 minutes to open the scoring.
Kerr then saw an effort cleared off the line and was denied by the Rothes goalkeeper with Robbie Duncanson also rattling the crossbar all in the first half.
The returning Conor Gethins doubled Nairn's lead by heading home Duncanson's cross from the right on 55 minutes.
Duncanson claimed his second assist of the match on 66 minutes when he showed great persistence to hit the by-line on the right with his cutback being bundled home by Adam Naismith.
Kerr struck the base of the post before departing and substitute Ross Naismith fired over late on when well placed as Nairn moved beyond last season's points tally with one fixture remaining and chalked up another clean sheet.
