Nairn County participates in the SHFL Youth Development Leagues at Under-18 and Under-16 levels.

Child Protection Policy

As a community run club which provides regular coaching to youth squads, Nairn County aims to provide a safe, positive and nurturing environment within which young players can develop their skills with confidence. The club commits fully to promoting the SFA’s Child Wellbeing & Protection policies. These polices can be viewed below.

All adults working with young people at the club undergo rigorous appointment and selection procedures. These include PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) checks through Disclosure Scotland, completing child welfare and protection training and signing up annually to the club’s Code of Conduct.

The club also has fully trained Child Wellbeing & Protection Officers (CWPOs) with responsibility for safeguarding, and ensuring that everyone at the club is safe and protected, whether a child, vulnerable adult, coach, volunteer or supporter. However, we all have a role in safeguarding. Everyone involved at Nairn County is responsible for implementing best practice in every aspect of the club. If anyone has any concerns or queries, please contact the CWPO using the contact details on the Organogram below.
