FORMER County defender Ali Nicol has become renowned for his fundraising adventures in aid of the club. And this weekend, the 46-year-old takes on his biggest challenge yet.
Having previously scaled Ben Nevis and completed both the West Highland Way and Great Glen Way, Ali will now attempt to scale the three highest peaks in Great Britain along with a small-band of companions.
The expedition starts with Mount Snowdonia in Wales with the group then making their way to Scalfell Pike in the Lake District and rounding off with the biggest of them all – Ben Nevis in Scotland. And they aim to have it all done in 24 hours.
Joining Ali on this monumental challenge are Douglas Smith, Mike Burt, Alexis Chatterton, Jonathan Flett and Mark Baird while linking up with the group for the last leg at Ben Nevis are Matthew Young, Steven McClatchey, Pauline McPhee and Gregor McKinnon.
All funds raised will go towards the Nairn County Spend-a-Penny campaign, raising funds for a new spectators’ toilet block at Station Park. To sponsor the group, simply logon to the fundraising page by clicking here.
