SPANISH full back Inaki Fernandino-Soto has agreed a new contract with the club. The left-sided player – known to everyone as Zola – linked up with the squad in the Autumn, featuring three times as a trialist before agreeing terms until the end of the season. Now, the 31-year-old has signed up for the 2018/19 campaign having netted himself a new one-year deal. Manager Ronnie Sharp said: “Zola came in and joined us partway through last season and has done enough to earn another year with us." “He can play any position up the left side, so is good cover for us. There is good competition there with Kenny McKenzie also naturally left-sided while several other players can also fill in when required." “He is a very good player technically and a positive character around the dressing room as well. He will benefit from having a full pre-season with us this summer as he had not done any proper training for a while prior to joining us, which is always a difficult situation to be in as you look to get up to speed.” Fernandino-Soto made five starts and five substitute appearances after joining the club in November, debuting in the home match against Huntly as a trialist. His first start after signing was the 4-1 home success over Buckie Thistle. Graeme Macleod
