We are excited to announce that tonight we have completed the signing of Scott Lisle from Formartine United.

The 26-year-old attacker has signed a three-year contract, keeping him at Station Park until the summer of 2027.

Scott is capable of playing on either side of a three-man front line, behind a central striker or through the middle himself, adding to the threat posed by existing attackers Andrew Greig, Ben Barron, Ben Kelly, Gary Kerr, Matthew Wright, Sam Gordon and Ciaran Young.

Manager Ross Tokely was delighted to bring in a player he already knows well. He said: “I have coached and played alongside Scott at Brora and when I first got the job here, he was one of the targets I immediately wanted to bring to the club. It has taken a wee while but I am really pleased that he is finally here.

“Scott has a lot of Highland League experience for his age. He was a young player in a really strong Brora squad but more than managed to hold his own and he has gone on to have a good career since then. His best years are still to come and we are getting him at a great age.

“He is a really hard-working, quick and powerful player and we will be looking for him to link up well with the attacking players already at the club. Hopefully, he can chip in with his fair share of goals and assists over the season as well.

“There was a lot of interest in Scott as you would expect for a player of that calibre, so we are delighted that he has chosen to join us. The coaching staff are all looking forward to working with him and seeing the best of him in a Nairn County shirt.

“I would like to thank Formartine United for their efforts in helping conclude the deal.”

Scott started his career in the academy at Inverness CT before moving to Clachnacuddin, where he made a handful of first team appearances, including against us in the final game of the 2015/16 season.

He spent that summer with Ardersier in the Inverness Amateur Leagues and from there, he made the step up to Brora Rangers as an 18-year-old, debuting against us at Station Park on the opening day of the season and contributing from the bench again as the Cattachs fought back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with us in the return match at Dudgeon Park in November.

Scott then moved on loan to Strathspey Thistle in August 2017 before making the move to Grantown permanent the following summer. His form for the Jags earned him a moved to Formartine United in the summer of 2019 and after lifting the Aberdeenshire Shield in his five years at North Lodge, he has now joined us where he will link up with his twin brother, Cameron, who is currently on loan to Strathspey Thistle.

Scott will be added to the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Banks O’Dee pending Scottish FA approval.

If you wish to sponsor any of Scott’s kits for the season, email us at info@nairncountyfc.co.uk or drop us a message on Social Media.
