Better late than never! We are finally able to confirm the loan signing of Ross Hardie from Brora Rangers.

Ross’s temporary switch was completed in a nick of time for him to be able to debut in last weekend’s 3-2 win at Inverurie Locos. And now we have managed to get him in front of the camera so we can confirm the move.

The 19-year-old has joined us on a short term loan until the New Year and will bring added competition for places in the right back area.

Defensive shortages saw Ross thrust in for a baptism of fire at Harlaw Park as he made his debut for us only a couple of hours after his move was confirmed and manager Ross Tokely was impressed with what he saw.

He said: “Ross was thrown in at the deep end last week but despite that, he did really well.

“Inverurie is not an easy place to go at the best of times and your defence as a unit is going to have to play well if you are going to get a result, so it was not an easy introduction to the team for Ross but I thought he handled it brilliantly.

“I just felt we needed some more cover in that area. Jamie Carnihan is only just working his way back from injury, Kenny McKenzie has been playing through an injury, Jack Walker has been injured and Fraser Dingwall has been on holiday.

“Ross coming in helps us out greatly and hopefully he can benefit from a run of games with us too. As I said, I was impressed with what I saw from him last weekend and long may that continue.”

Ross came through the youth ranks at Ross County before moving on from the Dingwall club in the summer of 2023, when he made the switch to Brora Rangers, where he has featured a number of times, most recently in their North of Scotland Cup semi final win over Lossiemouth last Wednesday night.
