We are delighted to announce the formation of a new sub-committee to take responsibility for the running our Under-16s and Under-18s Teams in the new season.
The sub-committee will report into the club’s main Management Committee and will free up the Coaching Staff to fully focus their energies and efforts on the delivery of training sessions and matchday activities.
The sub-committee comprises of Kenny Allison, Cindy Milne, Donald Graham, Brodie Stewart, Kris Young and Graeme Macleod and a kick-off meeting was held last night. A timeline of milestones throughout the season was outlined and the actions required to reach each one were divided out.
We are conscious that last season was difficult for the youth teams with a small number of coaches and helpers taking on additional administrative and logistical responsibilities to ensure we made it through the season. We hope that the formation of the sub-committee will alleviate that pressure, allow coaches to focus on what they are good at and ensure lighter workloads all round.
Two of our coaches, Jake Ettles and Jamie McGowan, have intimated to us in recent days that they will be stepping down from their roles at the club. We thank both for all their efforts with us and wish them well for the future.
The sub-committee is now working to fill these vacancies and will confirm details of this and the start of pre-season training soon.
