We are delighted to announce the addition of Ryan Main to our backroom staff as our new Goalkeeping Coach.
Ryan will work with our First Team and Reserves Team goalkeepers at training and on matchdays.
Director of Football, Graeme Macleod said:
“We have been looking for a dedicated goalkeeping coach for a long time now, so we are delighted to bring Ryan in.
“Obviously our Assistant Manager, Michael Rae has a big background in goalkeeping but his role with the club limits his ability to get involved in a lot of hands-on training with the goalkeepers. Having Ryan on board eases that pressure now though and ensures the goalkeepers will receive the level of coaching they require to each develop their game.”
He added: “Ryan is a local guy who goes back years with Ronnie (Sharp, Manager). Ryan was one of Ronnie’s goalkeepers when he was the manager at Nairn St Ninian many years ago now.
“He actually reached out to us through our recent Fans Survey and after it was passed on to the Manager, we decided to contact Ryan and are delighted to now add him to our backroom staff.
“Ryan has been busy getting started on working towards his coaching badges and we are delighted he has agreed to take up the opportunity to work with our goalkeepers.”
Ryan will work with Dylan Maclean and Will Counsell from the First Team squad as well as Gus Wilson and Fraser Wilkie from the Reserves Team squad and Reid Peterkin, who has recently moved up to the Reserves from the Under-18s.
