John Treasurer has agreed a contract extension keeping him with us for another season.
John joined us from Fort William in the summer having spent four years in his second stint with his hometown club, rising to the position of club captain.
The defender started out in the youth ranks at Inverness CT before his first spell at Fort William, which lasted two seasons.
He then spent a year at Strathspey Thistle and returned to Claggan Park. The 24-year-old has made 14 appearances since joining us, scoring once in the match against his former club, Fort William.
Director of Football, Graeme Macleod said:
“John has shown great commitment since joining us in the summer travelling from his home in Fort William for training and games. When he has been fit, he has never missed a training session.
“John has been unlucky with injuries with a historic knee reconstruction flaring up and causing him subsequent niggles. He has been for a tidy up operation recently and has come back through the rehabilitation successfully and has now worked his way back into the team.
“John’s family also travel from Fort William to our games both home and away, which is a great support for him.
“He could have moved elsewhere in the Highland League as there were other clubs interested in John, so we are delighted he has decided to commit to us until 2023.”
