Attacker Ben Kelly has agreed a new contract to extend his stay at Station Park into a third season.
The versatile 27-year-old joined us from Invergordon in the summer of 2023 and Manager Wayne Mackintosh has now moved to retain him as part of his squad for the forthcoming season.
Speaking after the squad returned for the start of pre-season training at the weekend, the Manager said: “We are delighted to secure Ben on a new contract going into the new season.
“With Scott Lisle moving on, we were light in that area of the park, so Ben agreeing to sign on with us again is a real boost.”
He added: “Ben can cover a couple of positions for us with his versatility. I see him mainly playing off the right or just behind the striker, which is where I think his best performances have come in his time at the club.
“He has a great attitude, looks after himself and his fitness is really good, which is one of the main principles I want from everyone in the squad.
“Ben will get an opportunity to stake a claim to be a regular starter as we progress through pre-season and it is down to him to do his best to take his chance.”
Ben made 13 appearances for us last season and in his debut campaign, netted a memorable strike in extra time of the 5-4 win over Ross County in the final of the North of Scotland Cup. He also spent the second half of that campaign on loan at Forres Mechanics.
