We are delighted to have been able to extend the contracts of our players Callum Ednie and Seamus McConaghy. Both players have been with the club for a number for a number of years, progressing from the youth squads into the First Team over recent seasons. Callum is a 23-year-old defender who has committed himself to a one-year extension to his existing deal. He made his debut almost five years ago on the opening day of the 2016/17 season and has appeared a total of 43 times for us, enjoying a breakthrough season last year where he made 21 starts before COVID-19 brought a premature end to the campaign. Callum has played in both full back positions for us and also in the centre of the defence. Seamus (20) can play on either wing or as an attacking midfield player and made his debut against Formartine United in March 2018. He won the club's Under-20s Player of the Year award that season and made his first start in the 3-2 away win at Turriff United in March 2019. He has made a total of 35 appearances for the club and scored twice, the first of which came in a 5-1 home win over Huntly in September 2018 with his most recent strike in the 6-2 away success at Fort William the following April. He has signed a new two-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2023.
