Long-serving midfielder, Kenny McKenzie has agreed a new contract with us to keep him with the club until the summer of 2026.

Kenny has been with us since the start of the 2015/16 season, which means this new deal will take him into his Testimonial Year.

The 31-year-old left-sided player has been a key part of the team since joining from Fort William and is preparing to enter his tenth season with us.

Manager Ross Tokely was pleased to secure the future of another experienced member of his squad. He said: “Kenny has been a regular in the team for a number of seasons now. He is a versatile player having filled in a left back, wide in midfield or playing centrally too. These sorts of attributes are key when building up a squad.

“Kenny is capable of getting forward and creating chances for us in the final third of the park but at the same time, he can get stuck in defensively as well whether that is when he is playing at the back or in midfield.

“He is the sort of player we want to keep at the club, so it is great news that he has agreed an extended contract. I am delighted that he is going to be a part of our plans for the future going into the new season.”

Kenny joined us from Fort William in June 2015. After being a North of Scotland Cup and Highland League (Morganti) Cup runner up in his first season, he took home his first winners’ medal when he was part of the team which lifted the North of Scotland Cup last season.

So far, Kenny has made 229 appearances for Nairn County, finding the net on 10 occasions.
