A successful second half to the season has helped earn Finn As-Chainey a new two-year deal with the club.

The attacking wide player started all but four of our matches in 2026, beginning with the Highland League (Morganti) Cup tie against Brechin City in our first match after New Year. Prior to that, he made only made a single starting appearance for the club after joining in Summer 2025, underlining his steady progress during his maiden campaign at Station Park.

The 26-year-old winger featured in all but two of our matches throughout the season, making him one of Wayne Mackintosh’s most utilised players in terms if appearances.

The Manager said: “Finn really hit his stride during the second half of the season and it was great to see him contribution to the team increase as the weeks went by.

“We seen something in him when he was on trial last summer and he has had to be patient and wait for his chance. Once he got himself a place in the team back in January, he never really looked back and has been among our most consistent performers in that period up to the end of season.

“Finn has also been playing through an injury during the last few weeks of the season and although not 100 percent fit, he has been making himself available to play when we have had a busy period with midweek games towards the end of the season. That shows his determination to play for the team and is the sort of mentality we are looking for from the squad if we want to be successful.

“We are delighted that Finn has agreed to sign on with us for the next two seasons and we are all looking forward to continuing to work with him and helping him to continue to improve.”

Finn spent nine seasons with St Duthus in the North Caledonian League after joining the Tain club as a 16-year-old. He won the Football Times Cup twice and the North Caledonian Cup during his time there and after a successful trial period last Summer, he joined us on an initial one-year deal. He scored his first goal for us in the 4-0 home win over Forres Mechanics in August, the first of four goals he managed across the campaign which seen him make 37 appearances for the club.
