Nairn County Football Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mr Mark Kelman as our new Chairman.
Mark takes up his new post with immediate effect.
He said:
“It is an honour for me to have been offered this position and I am absolutely delighted to accept.
“I have had positive discussions with the Management Committee and it was immediately clear to me that the club has a dedicated, passionate and hard-working group of volunteers who put a fantastic amount of work into running the club on a day-to-day basis.
“That was a huge draw for me as there is definitely the drive and ambition there to move the club forward, which is something we will be working towards.
“I would like to take the opportunity to pay tribute to Donald Matheson and the great work he has done in his time as Chairman to take us to where we are now. There are some great foundations at the club for us to build from in the coming years.
“I am looking forward to meeting everyone at the club over the next few weeks as we head into the new season, including the players and the fans. I am up for the challenge ahead and I cannot wait to get started.”
Mark was born in Inverness and attended Invergordon Academy.
He founded Dress Code Solutions in 2010 and was runner-up in the Highland Business of the Year award in 2012 before being awarded the PTYBS award for Business Growth a year later.
He was then a finalist in the Institute of Directors Young Director of the Year award and won the Young Scot Award for Enterprise in 2014.
Dress Code Solutions was sold to MacGregor Industrial Supplies in 2015, with Mark also taking on a Business Development Manager role with the company as part of the deal.
He then moved on to become a Director in his family’s Painting & Decorating business in January 2017 where he remained until its sale to Aberdeenshire-based R. Davidson in 2019.
Mark is currently a Director at automotive group Goodtread Tyre & Autocare, a leading supplier of tyres, parts and workshop services.
