JOHN Cameron's late strike salvaged a goal for Nairn County as they battled on a 1-1 draw with Deveronvale at Station Park, writes Graeme Macleod. It was in stark contrast to last weekend's draw at Strathspey and Cameron, Robbie Duncanson and Archie Macphee had the best of the chances for the home side in a goalless first half. After the restart, Nairn pushed forward and enjoyed some sustained pressure without putting the Deveronvale goal under too much threat. The visitors looked lively in attack too and they opened the scoring on 65 minutes when Graeme Rodgers sent a left-footed curler beyond the reach of Callum Donaldson and into the home net. County evened things up again on 78 minutes though as the ball dropped to John Cameron in front of goal and he managed to swivel and bundle the ball home from close range. Both sides had chances to win it and Nairn mounted a late charge but it ended all square. Graeme Macleod
