We are absolutely delighted to announce the return of our former player, Max Ewan.
The 25-year-old winger re-joins the club five years after leaving for a trophy-laden spell at Brora Rangers.
He will straight into the squad for tonight’s visit of Forres Mechanics pending SFA approval as he gets set to pull on a Nairn County shirt for the first time since 2021.
The wide man won seven trophies during his time at Dudgeon Park and Manager Wayne Mackintosh was thrilled to land one of his top targets.
The boss said: “Bringing in Max gives us a huge boost to the squad. He is a player I identified as a top target soon as I got the job last year, so it has been a long wait to get him here and I am delighted that it has now been finalised.
“He is a big threat in the attacking third of the park, as he has shown consistently over his career both here previously and in his time at Brora.
“He is the sort of player I would have loved to have played alongside during my career. He was a great servant to Nairn County previously and was always threat when playing against, so it is great news for the club that he is now back.”
He added: “When he became available, he was very clear that he wanted to come back to the club and join us. He is looking forward to getting going again and hopefully that will be tonight. We are hoping he can settle in very quickly with him already being familiar with the surroundings and we are keen to provide an environment for him to flourish once more.
“Max has shown he has a winning mentality and he is still at a really good age where he has the bulk of his career still ahead of him. We are delighted that is going to be with Nairn County and me and the coaching staff are all really looking forward to working with him.”
Max first joined us from Inverness CT in 2017 as a 16-year-old, making 104 appearances in his first spell with us, scoring 33 goals.
He made the move to Brora Rangers in 2021, winning two Highland League championships, two North of Scotland Cups and three Highland League (Morganti) Cups, including scoring a hat trick in the 2025 final.
