Five local sports projects have recently been the beneficiaries of payouts from the Lucky 7s football predictor game. Millbank Primary School Football Team, Rosebank Primary School Sports Projects, Cawdor Primary School Football Team, Nairn Football Coaching in the Community and Nairn County FC Youth Development each received a £100 boost. The cash is raised directly through sales to the public of the Lucky 7s football predictor cards. The jackpot starts at £100 and goes up by £50 per week until it is won, at which point it returns to £100 the following week. To win, all you have to do is correctly forecast the outcome of all seven matches listed on the ticket. The tickets cost just £1 per line and are on sale at the Westerlea, Uncle Bobs Bar, British Legion and the Seaforth Club each week throughout the football season. Heather Stevenson, one of the Lucky 7s co-ordinators, said: "All of the money raised goes directly back into supporting children's football projects throughout the local communities in Nairn and the surrounding areas." "It would be great if we were able to bring onboard a few more outlets to sell the tickets and help us to raise more money to support these fantastic projects." "The Lucky 7s were close to being scrapped a couple of years ago and I must emphasise that Stan Brown was passionate about keeping the tickets going and distributing the money to all football in the local area and that his hard work, along with Chris Reid and Alex "Scoosh" Mackintosh, is what has kept it going." If you are interested in becoming a Lucky 7s sales agent or your business can be an outlet for sales, please contact Heather Stevenson on 07747 823658. Graeme Macleod
