We have agreed a short term loan deal for Chevy Thomson to join Nairn St Ninian.
The 18-year-old will be with the Showfield club until their winter break commences just before Christmas.
Chevy graduated from our Under-18s squad in the summer and has been part of the First Team this season. The winger debuted away at Fraserburgh in March and so far, has made five appearances for the club.
Wayne Mackintosh said: “It is clear to myself and the coaching staff that Chevy has talent and a lot of potential – he shows that in training all the time. What he needs now is to play adult football and this loan gives him the opportunity to do that.
“We have been impressed with what we have seen from Chevy and ideally I would have liked to get him on the park for us for longer than we have managed so far this season but unfortunately, circumstances in each game has not allowed that. By joining Nairn St Ninian though, he will now have a platform to play regularly over the next month or so.
“We will be keeping Chevy training with us, so we can monitor his progress and we will re-evaluate things once this loan spell is up.
“We would like to wish Chevy all the best in his time at Nairn Saints, we are all sure that he will take full advantage of this opportunity.”
Chevy will link up with his team mates, Josh Stephenson and Ross Murphy at Nairn St Ninian while Aaron Craigie from our Under-18s squad is also on loan to the Showfield club.
