Forres Mechanics have this afternoon concluded the signing of John Cameron from Nairn County. The 27-year-old joined the club from Brora Rangers in 2010 and won the Highland League Cup in his maiden season at Station Park. He scored the first of his 29 goals in County colours on his debut as Huntly were thrashed 6-1 at home and the attacker or wide midfielder went on to make a total of 118 appearances for Nairn. The second of his two winners' medals came in the 2012 North of Scotland Cup final, when he came off the bench to net an extra time winner in a 2-1 success over Wick Academy at Grant Street, Inverness (pictured). John leaves with the best wishes of everyone at the club and we all look forward to welcoming him back when Forres Mechanics visit Station Park on October 1st. Graeme Macleod
