Midfielder Gary Pullen has joined us on a loan deal from Brora Rangers today.
We are delighted to bring the 21-year-old to Station Park on a temporary basis until the end of the calendar year.
He joins us having been a part of the Cattachs’ treble-winning squad last season and goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s visit of Turriff United to Station Park.
Manager Wayne Mackintosh believes his latest addition can bring an added dynamic to the team’s midfield.
He said: “We have had Gary on our list of targets for some time, so I am delighted he has chosen to join us.
“He had a couple of other options, so it is great news for the club that he will be spending the next few months with us. It is an area of the park that we identified pretty early on as somewhere we needed to strengthen and we are really pleased to have now been able to do that.”
He added: “Gary is really good on the ball and has the ability to create chances for our forward players. He will bring an added dimension to the base our midfield, where we have only really had Tyler Eadie and Gussie Dey fully fit for all of this season. We still have Kenny MacInnes to come back and Kenny McKenzie working his way back up to speed, so bringing Gary in gives us another fully fit option in the middle of the park.
“He was a part of a very successful Brora team last season winning the league and the cup and he has good experience despite only being 21. Myself and the rest of the coaching team are excited to be working with him.
“I would like to extend our thanks to Steven Mackay and Brora Rangers for their help in allowing us to do this deal.”
Gary started his career with his home town club, Golspie Sutherland, where he won the North Caledonian League Young Player of the Year prize. He then stepped up to the Highland League when he joined Wick Academy in the summer of 2023 and after a season-and-a-half at Harmsworth Park, he made the switch to Brora Rangers in December of last year.
He now joins us for the next three-and-a-half months and is in contention to make his debut tomorrow.
