FOUR Nairn County youngsters have extended their loan periods with clubs in the North Region Juniors. Fraser Wilkie will continue his loan spell at Nairn St Ninian while Ryan MacBean, Joe Cuthbert and Craig Munro have all returned to Burghead Thistle on temporary deals. All four players have been farmed out until the end of the season. Manager Ronnie Sharp said: “Fraser went to St Ninian in October and Ryan, Joe and Craig joined Burghead about a month later all until the turn of the year. “All four players have played regularly since going out with Fraser becoming the number one goalkeeper at St Ninian, while Ryan, Joe and Craig have all earned starts at Burghead with Ryan getting himself a couple of goals too. “It is great for these players that they are gaining regular game time at a very good level of football at this stage of their careers. We are grateful to St Ninian and Burghead for taking these players on loan and we expect them to go there and do a good job of representing Nairn County by conducting themselves properly and giving their all in training and games.” Centre forward MacBean (19) has made one first team appearance, debuting in the 2-2 draw at Keith last season while 18-year-old midfielder Cuthbert has also made a sole top team appearance after he made his debut in the 4-0 home win over Fort William in October. Munro – a 20-year-old centre-half – has three appearances to his name having played away at Forres Mechanics and in home games against Beith Juniors and Rothes, all this season. Midfielder Cameron Maclean (18) also spent a short spell on loan at Burghead Thistle with his teammates from November until New Year but having been involved from the bench in last Saturday’s match at Clachnacuddin, he will remain with County for the time being.
