ANOTHER scintillating attacking performance saw Nairn County breeze past Deveronvale at Princess Royal Park, writes Graeme Macleod. The home side – managed by former County assistant boss Ally Macleod – started positively but once Nairn edged in front, the hosts had no answer for the impressive movement and endeavour of the hard-working front three of Sam Urquhart, John Cameron and Robbie Duncanson. Alan Pollock and Adam Naismith again impressed out wide with tireless shifts tracking back defensively as well as bombing forward to aid the attack when the visitors were on the front foot. Robbie Duncanson opened the scoring from the penalty spot seven minutes in – his third spot kick in the last two games. Sam Urquhart then glanced home a header from a deep Michael Morrison free kick six minutes later before racing through to add his second on 17 minutes. The in-form forward completed his hat trick on 24 minutes to take him to five goals in two games. And on 28 minutes, good work by Cameron allowed him to tee up Duncanson who drilled home his second of the match and his fourth goal in the last two outings. It meant that Nairn finished the half five goals up and that they had managed one goal in an average of less than every 10 minutes over the last game and a half. The hosts did pull one back before the break though as former County forward Stuart Leslie saw his penalty saved by Calum Antell but Graeme Rodger was first on the scene to force home the rebound. John Cameron added his name to the score sheet on 64 minutes though as he bundled home an Urquhart cross and Adam Naismith completed the rout as he arrived on the scene to net a low cross from the right in the final minute.
