NAIRN County bounced back from last weekend's disappointing defeat at Wick Academy in impressive style to win emphatically at Deveronvale. The hosts were without the suspended Calum Antell and Robbie Duncanson with Bradley Halsman also unavailable. A trialist goalkeeper took over between the posts with Conor Gethins and Alan Pollock also restored to the starting eleven. County opened the scoring on 19 minutes with Conor Gethins getting the run on his marker to meet Gregg Main's delivery from the right with a glancing header which looped in at the far post. Kenny McKenzie doubled Nairn's lead on 28 minutes sweeping home Tony Wallace's lay off for his first goal in County colours. Deveronvale pulled one back from the penalty spot when Martin MacDonald hauled down Gary Harris in the penalty area with Harris converting the spot kick himself. Just four minutes after half time though, Gethins added his second of the afternoon with another pinpoint glancing header. And Tony Wallace made sure of all three points for the visitors by latching on to Pollock's through pass to net his second goal in as many games on 73 minutes. Nairn County – Trialist, Webb, Glenn Main, Skinner, MacDonald (Morrison 89), Gregg Main, Cameron (R. Naismith 86), Pollock, Wallace, Gethins, McKenzie (Urquhart 75). Subs unused – C. Maclean, Macleod, Hardwick, S. Maclean (gk). Graeme Macleod
