ATTACKER John Cameron has joined Fort William on loan, initially until the end of February, writes Graeme Macleod. The former Brora Rangers forward – who bagged an extra time North of Scotland Cup final winner against Wick Academy in 2012 – goes straight into the Lochaber club's squad for their game at Clachnacuddin tomorrow. The 26-year-old said: "I have not been playing as much as I would have liked over the last few months because of my work commitments, so I asked Les if I could go out on loan to get some game time." "I am originally from Fort William, so when I heard they were interested in taking me, it made sense to go there because I already knew a lot of people at the club and in the town." "I am looking forward to going there, playing some games and hopefully scoring some goals, starting tomorrow at Clach and then coming back to Nairn to challenge for a place in the team." Manager Les Fridge added: "John started the season well playing every week but then he got injured. He has then missed a lot of games because of his work and found it difficult to get back into the team." "We have agreed to put him out for the next month to give him game time. He wanted to go to Fort William with his connections down there and we were happy to accommodate that because he has hardly played since the start of the season." Cameron has one goal to his name so far this season having opened the scoring in the 2-1 home defeat to Buckie Thistle back in August. He joins team mate, Andrew Hardwick on loan at Fort William but both players will be ineligible when County visit Claggan Park on February 13th under the terms of the loan agreements. Graeme Macleod
