We are delighted to add Aidan Cruickshank to our squad having completed a loan deal this morning for the teenage Elgin City attacker, making him our first new arrival of 2023.

The 17-year-old will link up with our squad ahead of tomorrow’s match at Clachnacuddin, giving us a huge boost ahead of this important derby clash. He will then be with us until the end of the season and we are all looking forward to seeing him display his talents for the club.

Aidan spent the first half of the season at Strathspey Thistle, scoring twice against us in the Jags’ 4-2 defeat at Station Park in October, before being recalled by his parent club.

Manager Steven Mackay said: “We are delighted to get Aidan on loan until the end of the season and we hope this is the first step in building a strong relationship with Elgin City.

“Aidan has performed well while on loan at Strathspey Thistle this season and we are looking forward to working with him and developing his game.

“He is only 17 years old but he has loads of potential and we are confident that he will be an asset to us and a positive addition to our squad from now until the end of the season. He comes into contention for tomorrow’s match.”

Director of Football, Graeme Macleod added: “Aidan is clearly a talented player with a big future ahead of him. We witnessed that first hand with his performance against us for Strathspey earlier in the season.

“We are delighted to have been entrusted by Elgin City to take care of the next stage of Aidan’s development and we extend our thanks to them for agreeing to this deal.

“We are all excited to welcome Aidan to the club and we look forward to seeing what he can do over the coming months.”

Aidan spent time with Inverness CT as a youth before moving back to his home town club, Elgin City.

He was loaned out to the Juniors ranks last season with Dufftown before being sent out to Strathspey Thistle to further his development.

His performances with the Grantown Jags earned him his first professional contract with the League Two club, which he signed before Christmas having been recalled from his loan at Seafield Park. He has now joined us until the end of the season.

Aidan is available to sponsor for the rest of the season. If you are interested, drop us a message on any of our Social Media channels or email info@nairncountyfc.co.uk.
