Versatile left-sided player, Adrian Voigt has agreed a new two-year contract with us following a successful maiden season at Station Park.
The 23-year-old joined us last summer from St Duthus and made an immediate impact, securing a place in the starting team from the start of the season and featuring in a number of our notable victories throughout the campaign.
Initially finding himself at left back, Adrian also had spells in the team playing further forward and it was that versatility combined with his levels of performance that convinced manager Wayne Mackintosh to offer him extended terms until the Summer of 2028.
The boss said: “Securing Adrian is a good bit of business for us because he can cover a number of positions on the park.
“Last season was his first in the Highland League and it can take players time to adapt when they have never played at this level but Adrian was able to get a run in the team from the opening day of the season.
“We are now looking for more consistency from Adrian as he goes into his second season with us and hopefully having the security of a two-year deal will help him to achieve that. We know there is more to come from him and after a solid first season at the club, we are looking forward to seeing Adrian develop further within the squad.”
Adrian spent four seasons in the North Caledonian League with St Duthus, winning the club’s Young Player of the Year award during his time with the Tain-based outfit. He signed for us in July following a four-match trial and during his first season at the club, he made 26 appearances and netted his solitary goal with the opener in the 3-0 home over Inverurie Locos in September.
