Lovies Construction – the club’s contractor for the new enclosure project – has completed the off-site construction of the required rebar baskets.
Lovies will be back on site on Tuesday to fit the baskets and will then pour the cement. Once this phase of the project is completed, the site will then be primed for the steel to be fitted after it has been galvanised.
Peter Mackintosh jnr commented: “It has been an awkward project with the size and make-up of the site. Both the contractor and engineers have found further smaller issues which have caused delays but have now been addressed.
“Once the contractor is back on site this week and completes the cement work and the steel is ready, we will then be in a better place to forecast a definite completion date.
“This latest piece of progress represents a big step forward for the project and we are grateful to Lovies Construction for all of their hard work to date.”
