ANOTHER remarkable fight back saw Nairn County take all three points from Saturday's trip to Turriff United, writes Graeme Macleod.

Goals either side of half time appeared to have secured the win for the hosts but never-say-die County had other ideas.

The hosts broke the deadlock when they countered a Nairn corner kick with Gary Harris rounding off a sweeping move on 28 minutes.

After the restart, the hosts doubled their lead through Gary McGowan on 74 minutes as he rifled home an angled drive.

That seemed to be game over but Nairn grabbed a lifeline just a minute later. Robbie Duncanson wriggled free off his marker and clipped the ball beyond the goalkeeper from 18 yards.

County pushed men forward in search of a leveller and their efforts were rewarded through Michael Morrison's effort as he delicately dinked the ball over the goalkeeper's head and into the net on 88 minutes.

Nairn weren't finished there though and Archie MacPhee poked fellow substitute Conor Gethins' low cross beyond the goalkeeper to complete an astonishing comeback and set off jubilant scenes of celebration among players and fans.
